Sustainability

“Our aim is to encourage positive decision making which benefits both the brief and the world at large”

Sustainability is a multi-layered concept often open to interpretation, but today there are few industries or individuals who are unaware of its need. In the world of interior design, the implementation of sustainable options is governed by the desire and the budgets of the clients. Our sustainability role as interior designers and interior architects is to support our client’s objectives, informing and inspiring them through our work with experts in the fields of lighting, audio-visual, sanitation and building restoration to choose lower impact options and sourcing furniture, fixtures and equipment from trusted suppliers with integrity and a declared sustainability policy. In this way, we may be able to encourage positive decision making which benefits both the brief and the world at large.

Improving our approach to sustainability is of benefit to everyone: to our ecosystem, our clients and our staff. As we take on board new developments and are mindful of ecological practices we contribute to the building of a future that supports our economy, our work places and job opportunities as well as the well-being and long term future of this planet of ours. We establish an environment in which resources are preserved for future generations.

What are our aims?

To keep informed about the challenges facing the ecosystem and to raise awareness amongst our suppliers and clients

To appreciate the merits of an existing space and work to improve it whenever possible to benefit from the latest developments & to prolong its existence

To choose products that are designed and made in Britain wherever they meet with the tastes and budgets of our clients

To consider the use of sustainable and reclaimed materials and reduce waste, re-using, recycling and repairing whenever appropriate both in our projects and our day-to-day working practices

To appreciate the merits of an existing space and work with it to prolong its existence, preserve its integrity and when appropriate to enable it to benefit from the latest developments
