"High-end finishes used with simplicity"

A conceptual refurbishment

A conceptual refurbishment

“A potential refurbishment without losing any integrity”

The aim of the overall look for this property was for a contemporary high-end finish using quality products, but with a simplicity in the design.

Our plan was to render the house in a deep soft white with a dimpled affect and add partial exterior cladding with an Accoya wood stain that in time would turn silver. The new windows were in light grey metal and the contemporary front door finished in oak to reflect the mature trees that surround this property.

The garden design was integral to the overall look as the existing garden sat directly on to the property making the outside space unusable. Our suggestion was to take the land mass back to create a pathway. Garden design company Decorum were brought on board and took this idea a step further, designing a rustic pathway around the property, planting in between the stones and incorporating the original 150-year-old rhododendron bushes. Rustic retaining walls and meandering stairs led up to the child-friendly garden area.

The outside planning influenced the inside design. The interiors had stone and wood flooring and bespoke joinery all reflecting the outdoor finishes. To introduce a contemporary feel, the bespoke kitchen had brushed matt lacquer cabinets, wood and stone counter tops and coloured glass top cabinets.
