"Contemporary Farmhouse Renovation"

West Sussex

An 1810’s property in need of cohesion

“Bringing in a contemporary farmhouse aesthetic”

Our brief was a complete renovation of a mismatch of rooms over three buildings.

We vaulted the ceilings and added beams to unite the living spaces. The entrance hall floor was levelled to meet the adjoining rooms.
To create an outside/in vibe in the pool room, we installed Velux windows and tongue and grooved the walls. A staircase lined with shelves links it to an open-plan sitting/dining room. At the opposite end are a study, two ensuite bedrooms and stairs to the master suite.
Across the hallway from the dining room, the winter lounge needed a more intimate feel. A ”library” at the far end with false sliding doors did the job.

The master suite includes a bespoke dressing room  and a luxurious marble/antique brass bathroom.
