Our Pinterest Picks For July

Pinterest is not only a site we love to browse for inspiration but its also where we communicate creatively with our clients. Each client will create a board or a couple of boards to show us what they love and would like to incorporate into their own home.

Today we have put together a small selection of our favourite Pinterest images from this month. These images have gone into client boards and been the basis of our inspirations for this month.

Firstly, we have this gorgeous lounge set with deep rich colours. The panelling is dreamy and adds a lot of dimension to this matte paint colour which is totally on trend.

This is a shower of dreams! Combining style and comfort is key in a bathroom as spa like bathrooms are becoming increasingly popular. Switching up from the norm and using gold fittings makes this style even more luxurious. This is also a great representation of mixing tiles, materials and colours. The chevron tiles are black marble whilst the hexagonal floor tiles are a white marble. These two work well together as the black marble isn’t overpowering and just adds subtle detail to the finish. Combining these two finishes with a simple white subway tile creates a sleek finish.

Even if you aren’t lucky enough to have the glorious blue sky for your outside space you can still make it feel as inviting as the pin below. Keeping a neutral scheme is always effective in a outside space as you can make use of natural materials and add your colour on top. Mixing geometric tiles adds a contemporary feel and the lighting is a much needed detail to really complete the space. No longer confined to a small selection on exterior lights you can now take the inside out and have beautiful wall sconces as shown in the pin.

I’m sure you’ll have seen tutorials on how to style your shelves so we won’t bore you with more do’s and don’ts for now. This image shows simply what are good items to make a sleek and organised shelf unit. Personal items are key! Don’t fill the shelf with items that you don’t love, this is your home and it should show your personality in every detail. By all means add in architectural elements like this pin which will add structure and bring across the contemporary style. Tonal books always look great when styling a shelf but if you don’t have them just use what you have and touch on these colours with the items you style the shelves with. One of the main reason’s we loved this image was the dark, intense colour of the unit itself. It really allows the shelves to shine especially with their brass accessories.
